I became president of Roudan Corporation in 1998. In 1986, he became independent from the synthetic resin trading company where his father had worked for many years and established Roudan Co. Just when it was about to happen, he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away suddenly. I had just joined the company there and was to take over the company, but due to the sudden change, it was difficult to get the company off the ground. So I took up the challenge of Internet shopping.

At that time, online shopping was not yet popular, so I was looking for diet goods and miscellaneous goods that would sell well and selling them. Among them, sales of bedding were brisk. I learned that people in the world are more particular about their bedding than I thought. They want a good night's sleep in each season, cool in summer and warm in winter. It was a very new discovery for me, as I had been confined to a small world of the plastics industry until then. After that, our company increased sales, mainly in bedding.

Just as our struggling business was finally looking up, I developed a severe cervical hernia. When I arrived at the hospital, I was in a greasy sweat because of the sudden severe pain in my back and could not sleep at all. The doctor told me, "We can't operate on it, and you'll have to live with it for the rest of your life. From there I was bedridden for a month. During that time, I was unable to work and was in the most difficult situation of my life.

Repeated neck and shoulder pain prevented me from getting a good night's sleep, and I bought several different pillows and kept searching for a pillow that would work for me. No matter how expensive pillows you buy or how many custom-made pillows you buy, you can't find a pillow that fits you. I myself was a "pillow refugee". At that time, I strongly felt that I wanted to make a pillow that I was satisfied with, even if it meant mobilizing all of my experience and knowledge. This would surely support those who are suffering as well. Driven by this single-minded determination, I traveled to China to find a factory and began negotiating for materials.

In the process of foaming urethane and resins, the temperature, room temperature, and chemical formulation greatly affect the manufacturing results. Developing a material that has the mysterious feel I am looking for, which is Soft and springy yet fluffy and puffy, requires specialized knowledge. In addition to materials, there are many issues that must be cleared, such as shape, size, safety, and cost. And Blue Blood was developed over the course of more than a year.
